About Us

What’s Sunday Like at TPC?

You might be wondering what our Sunday gatherings look like at TPC. Whether you’re new to church in general, or you’re just new to our church, here’s what you can expect when you join us on Sunday.

Our Mission

We are compelled to see lives transformed for Jesus by the power of the Holy Spirit to the glory of God.

Our Vision

Our vision is to see our town of Taree transformed by the redeeming love of Christ. Through thoroughly Biblical evangelism, teaching, and training, we want to see individuals, households, and communities won for King Jesus. As leaders and evangelists are raised up, we want to see them join the mission field to see all the people of all the world won for our risen saviour.

Our Core Biblical Values

The Bible

We are committed to robust, Christ-centred Bible Teaching that leads to trusting in Jesus as Saviour, obeying Him as Lord, and growing deep in theological maturity.
(2 Timothy 3:16)

Prayer

We are committed to prayer, as we recognise Christ’s rule over all things and we seek to pray according to His will. Prayer for the conversion and discipling of the nations is the cornerstone of healthy ministry.
(Ephesians 6:18)

Godly Leadership

We are committed to Godly leadership. Following the example of Jesus our leaders are to boldly and selflessly teach, admonish, encourage and guide those in their care.
(John 10:11)

Spiritual Growth

We are committed to spiritual growth and seek to encourage one another to grow in Christian maturity in everything that we do. We value a deepening love for and knowledge of God, and encourage daily prayer, Bible reading, and family worship.
(2 Peter 1:5-9)

Sharing Our Faith

We are committed to sharing our faith, and through evangelism seek to connect those outside the Church with the person and claims of King Jesus. Locally and globally, individually and corporately, we will engage in the work of proclaiming the Lord Jesus to a lost and broken world.
(1 Peter 3:15)

Gospel Mission in Australia

We are committed to gospel mission in Australia and overseas, and are determined to raise awareness of, and engagement in, world missions.
(Philippians 4:14-20)

Practical Love

We are committed to practical love demonstrated by the sacrificial love of Christ, who gave himself for us. This practical love is shown through rich fellowship and hospitality, and in practical acts of help for one another. We are committed to sharing our lives and homes with each other to show love and build each other up in our faith.
(1 John 4:7-12)

Meeting Together

We are committed to meeting together both on Sundays and in small groups through the week for worship, Bible teaching, prayer, the sacraments, fellowship, encouragement, and to serve one another’s needs.
(Hebrews 10:25)
